Your body movement should be well co-ordinated. Learn front crawl, arm stroke, flutter kicking, breath stroke. Training with a qualified swimming coach is the best way to learn the various strokes. Breath control begins with simple exercises such as drawing a breath, submerging, blowing bubbles and then resurfacing for another breath. As your swimming skills improve, you will learn specific breathing techniques for different strokes. A good swimming technique will allow you to either swim at a moderate pace in a relaxed way or to swim at a fast pace without becoming exhausted too quickly.
